What is the   Most Expensive Home Sold on Grosse Ile     While it's tricky to find definitive information on the most expensive home ever sold, there was a notable property in Grosse Ile that made headlines.  A massive, unfinished mansion owned by John C. Bates, CEO of Heidtman Steel, was listed for as high as $29 million in 2018. It eventually sold for $2.9 million ! This property was notable for its size (over 16,000 square feet), features (including a 300-foot conservatory), and the fact that it was sold in an unfinished state.  While this may not be the absolute most expensive home ever sold on Grosse Ile, it certainly stands out as a high-value property with a unique story!
